The interpreting needs of India’s primary languages have been a challenge for decades. There are nearly one billion people living in India, and each person speaks a different language as their native tongue.
This makes interpreting very difficult at best. The country has many tiers to its languages, if you will – languages that are more formal or informal than others, languages that are more widely spoken than others, and languages that are used in certain regions of the country and not others.
