4. Client Responsibilities

Clients engaging Cal Interpreting & Translations agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete project information
• Make timely payments as agreed
• Provide reasonable notice for cancellations or rescheduling
• Treat interpreters, translators, and staff with respect and professionalism

5. Vendor / Interpreter Responsibilities

Interpreters and translators engaged by Cal Interpreting & Translations agree to:

• Maintain professional standards and impartiality
• Protect the confidentiality of all client information and not communicate directly with clients without our express permission
• Provide timely notification of conflicts, unavailability, or scheduling issues
• Comply with all applicable professional codes of ethics
• Respond promptly to SMS and other communications from Cal Interpreting & Translations

6. Fees and Payment

Fees for services will be specified in a written quote or agreement. Payment terms, cancellation policies, and late fees are governed by the applicable service agreement. Cal Interpreting & Translations reserves the right to update its fee schedule with reasonable notice.

7. Confidentiality

All parties acknowledge that information shared in connection with interpretation or translation assignments may be sensitive or privileged. Cal Interpreting & Translations and its linguists agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client matters in accordance with applicable professional standards and any executed confidentiality agreements.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, logos, graphics, and software, is the property of Cal Interpreting & Translations and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Translation deliverables are subject to the ownership terms specified in the applicable service agreement.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services and website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cal Interpreting & Translations shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or website, including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or service interruption.

Our total liability for any claim arising from a specific service engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for that engagement.
