Interpreting in Education

Every parent deserves to be aware of their child’s academic progress. They deserve to be informed about everything from achievements at school to their child’s performance. Many parents are English-second language or don’t speak it at all, which makes it difficult for them to communicate with teachers and administrators.

This also applies to foreign exchange students or students who have moved to the U.S. from another country. These students might find that they need help with communication or with translating their academic transcripts and records in order to transfer.

That is where CIT steps in. We provide education interpreting and translations all across the nation. From grade school to university, CIT provides these services for all levels of education.

CIT is here to help bridge the gap of communication between educational directors and those who are weak in the target language. We have one of the largest networks of interpreters in the world. We can provide interpreters for many school functions such as meetings, assemblies, after-school activities, parent/teacher conferences, and any situation where a conversation might take place.

Our interpreting services are also a major help to foreign exchange students or students who recently moved from a country where English is not the first language. Our interpreters help these students excel in their studies, feel comfortable in the campus environment, and understand what their institutions and teachers expect from them.

We are able to provide both on-site and telephonic interpreting services. CIT has an interpreter for just about every spoken language. We have the most cost-effective rates guarantee that we’ll match our competitor’s rates if they’re any lower. Our services have been requested and utilized by school districts all across the nation and are trusted by many. CIT’s education interpreting and translations go far beyond the spoken word into written language.

Translation Services

CIT’s academic translation services help families understand what is going on with their child’s academic career. This is especially helpful with parents who have kids in K – 12 schools. They can see their progress and accomplishments through written translations. We are happy to help translate report cards, letters/flyers, permission slips, school closings, class/bus schedules, pamphlets, assignments, and graduation invitations.

To Our California Interpreting Clients: CIT Employees Certified CAL. EVID. CODE § 754 Translators

There are approximately 10,000,000 (ten million) people who have hearing loss in the United States, and it’s estimated that about 1,000,000 (one million) of them are considered functionally deaf. As a result, The 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act requires businesses to accommodate these disabilities by making reasonable accommodations for normal day-to-day communication needs such as providing sign language or captioning during remote video meetings so those participating can communicate more easily.

The ability to reserve a certified sign-language interpreter is of paramount importance. Our professional courteous and experienced interpreters are the logical choices in facilitating communications between the hearing enabled, people who are deaf or hard-of hear, they can also help those that have limited speech due to medical conditions like paralysis caused by stroke
or ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
