No matter what situation you find yourself in, you cannot afford to compromise on the quality of your interpretation or translation services. At the same time, one must be wary not to break the bank. As such, CIT has put forward an incredible business model aimed at pleasing customers across the board. While we do this, we also customize the structure of services to each job, so that clients receive the most efficient, enjoyable, and accurate work possible. Even when it comes to languages like Tswana, we bring you a translator or interpreter with the relevant skills for your job. We cover work in every industry from technology to education. This means that our linguists understand complex concepts and possess the diction to easily communicate big ideas.
Working with an unskilled or untrained linguist has many pitfalls. When providing language services, one must keep things like figurative language, historical context, and the parties involved in mind. This way, this facilitator of communication can provide the clearest picture possible. At CIT, we understand that things like doctor’s appointments and depositions can make a huge impact on your health or finances, so we strive to provide excellence with every job. We become your partner in anything you undertake. This way, you can ensure that you clearly understand those who you interact with. For over a decade, thousands have commented on our dedication to the welfare of our customers. We give you the proper attention and still charge some of the lowest rates in the industry!
About five million people, primarily focused in South Africa, speak the Bantu language of Tswana. The language bears relation to the Sotho languages, the Kgalagadi language, and the Lozi language. Some refer to Tswana as Western Sotho, but it is important for any translator or interpreter to differentiate between Tswana and it’s neighboring languages. Botswana and South Africa include it as their official languages. In Pretoria, they speak a specific dialect of Tswana that mixes together a variety of Sotho languages.
Historically, Hinrich Lichtenstein became the first European to document the language back in 1806. Although some of his work misinterpreted the people and the language, it brought much of their history and culture to the rest of the work. Following that, Robert Moffat lived among the Batihaping in 1826 and translated the Bible for them. His work spurred many missionaries to take to Africa. Later on, in the 19th century, various Europeans created the language’s grammar and other means of making it official.
Our work with Tswana represents the culmination of hundreds of years of history and development. CIT linguists do know only understand the language but also its background. Call us today for a free quote!
