We are committed to providing quality interpretation services at competitive rates, and time and again having succeeded in satisfying our clientele. We are well recognized for the excellence of our Cambodian interpreters in Orange County.
California is home to a large number of cities and neighborhoods of vast cultural and ethnic variety. Orange County is certainly one of these cities which encompasses a multitude of diverse communities, with backgrounds in different cultures and traditions.
Providing accurate interpreters and language assistance is of the utmost importance, and the interpretation services of CIT are here to help.
The greater Orange County area is home to many Cambodian cultural groups and organizations, not to mention the importance of the still-thriving Cambodia Town in the heart of Long Beach, CA.
The mile-long stretch of Cambodian owned businesses is a testament to the ability of an immigrant community to grow and make their mark in America. Cambodian restaurants provide a taste of home to the thousands of Cambodian immigrants in the area, while Cambodian owned pharmacies provide the comfort of traditional herbal medicines.
Originating as a modest, family-owned operation in 1985 Phnom Penh Noodle Shack in the neighborhood sprouted into a Khmer food monument to social media buffs and food critics alike.
The mass appeal of Cambodian gastronomy in the area has spread to markets in the area, even bringing these traditional tastes into the lives of other ethnocultural groups as well.
Cambodia Town is also home to the Cambodian New Year, or Choul Chnam Thmey parade that takes place every spring; a celebration of traditions and performances with community members all joining in the festivities. Additionally, Little Cambodia is also where the locally acclaimed Cambodia Town Film Festival takes place.
Founded by Cambodian American filmmaker Caylee So and rapper Prach Ly, the festival is a place where aspiring and well-renowned filmmakers in the community are given a platform to share their art with the rest of the community.
The history of Khmer immigrants in Long Beach began towards the end of the 1970s, with the implementation of an exchange program between Khmer families and California State University, Long Beach.
As a result, Cambodian immigrants would eventually settle in the surrounding areas, finding homes in the Long Beach, Santa Ana, and Tustin communities. Providing our clients consistent, precise, and proficient interpreters with apt interpretation skills are what we strive for.
Among the thousands of Khmer speakers in Orange County, our goal is to help provide a way for the Cambodian speaking community to be valued, understood, and heard. It is easy to see how big of an impact that CIT’s Cambodian Interpreters in Orange County make.
